The Pop Culture Edit Vol 1

Hey guys! I hope you guys are having a great week. So, today I’m starting a new series and I’m not gonna lie, I am so excited to share this with y’all. Something that I really enjoy is pop culture, haha. I thought it would be kinda cool to share these posts every week or so where I round up some of the things that have happened in the pop culture world and share them with you guys. I hope you guys enjoy volume 1.
1. Harry Styles and the 70s -esque mustache

So, Harry Styles (FYI, I’m a directioner and a big fan of Styles himself) was spotted in Italy a few days ago and he’s rocking a mustache. Most fans (me included) like it! While others aren’t a fan. There are speculations that Harry may have been in Italy because Gucci just shot a new campaign. Harry has modeled for Gucci in the past and is friends with the creative director, Alessandro Michele.
2. Princess Beatrice Got Married and Her Dress Stole the Show

Princess Beatrice married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on Friday and people cannot stop talking about her dress (me included!!). The dress was a vintage dress from the Queen’s collection. It was designed by Normal Hartnell. The tiara she wore also came from the Queen. I’m genuinely swooning over this dress.
3. Highlights from the Jacquemus Show
Many of the major fashion weeks happened right before the quarantine. However, many brands have collections that are released after the main fashion weeks have concluded. With everything going on in the world, some designers have gone the digital route. Like there were literal digital fashion shows. Which is really innovative, but a totally different experience than an actual fashion show. However, Simon Porte Jacquemus held a show with real models and an audience in a wheat field outside of Paris last week, and needless to say, it was gorgeous. Here are some of my favorite looks.  This collection is seriously so dreamy!

4. Movies to Watch This Week
Rear Window – Now available on NBC’s streaming service Peacock
I had never seen this Alfred Hitchcock thriller until yesterday. And I did enjoy the plot! However, my favorite part was seeing all of Grace Kelly’s outfits omg.
Pride & Prejudice (2005) – Joe Wright really hit a home run with this period drama. (at least in my book) This movie makes me so happy and if you like aesthetically pleasing movies, this one is a must-watch It’s now on Netflix!
If Beale Street Could Talk – This movie was incredible. Like I cried my heart out watching this beautiful movie. It’s on Hulu and I HIGHLY recommend it.
5. Favorite Albums of the Week
Okay, I have two albums that just came out this week that I love already. One is Brightest Blue by Ellie Goulding. I’ve been a fan of Ellie for a long time and this album is really good. I really enjoy hearing the uniqueness in all of her music. The second one is Gaslighter by The Chicks. I grew up listening to them and this is their first album since 2006. Gosh, I am so glad they’re back. I’m hoping that they’ll tour once all of this is gone. I’ve been dreaming of seeing them for years and years!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. It’s something new and like I said earlier, I’m so excited to be doing something like this. Thanks for reading!
