My Goals for 2024

Hey guys! I hope that you guys are enjoying the last few days of 2023. I can’t believe that this year is already nearly over. It’s been a wild ride, and I’m really looking forward to where 2024 takes me!

Today, I thought it would be cool to share my goals for 2024 with you guys! I really wanted to continue building on some of the habits I started in 2023 and start some new ones! So, without further ado, let’s get into it.

Read 35 books and continue adding more nonfiction and fiction. I read 28 books this year (I might even get to 29 before the year is officially done). I did that with a few months where I was totally in a reading slump. I know that I can definitely knock 35 books out next year! I did better with branching out into different genres this year. However, I know I can keep branching out, so that’s also part of my goal!

Get into a consistent nighttime routine/and morning routine. This is something that I have struggled with for the longest time. I’m terrible at creating consistency when it comes to nighttime and morning routines. But it’s something that I’m making a priority in the new year. Hopefully, sticking to a schedule will eventually develop into a healthy habit, and I will feel so much better for it! Something else I want to do is limit my screen time before bed. I want to set aside time before bed to read from a physical book. This will be hard for me, in a way, because over the year, I have become more dependent on my Kindle. But I love holding a book in my head, so fingers crossed.

Travel More! This is an exciting goal for me because I’ve spent the past few days planning a big trip that I’ll be taking over the summer of 2024. I’ll 100% be sharing more later on! I absolutely love getting to travel and experience different places and cultures. Experiments are so worth it to me.

Find more consistency in working out. I must confess, I am not a gym girlie. That being said, I did get into going to Cyclebar in 2023, and I LOVED it. One of my goals for 2024 is to continue to find consistency in going to Cyclebar weekly. I would love to have one day every week set aside to go to Cyclebar. The other days, I’ll find other ways to stay active and work out.

Drink more matcha. I feel like this is unpopular among my friends, but I love matcha. It has a ton of health benefits, it has lots of vitamins in it, and it boosts energy. I like to make it and then have it on my way to work every morning. It’s cheaper and better for me than coffee. I do love coffee, but I really need to cut down on drinking it.

Meal Prep. This was one of my goals last year, and I must confess I did not do well with it. I am the worst at throwing together random snacks together for lunch at work. I really need to stop doing that. I want to plan out meals and eat healthier and cleaner. So, stay tuned to see how that goes!

Use Google Calendar more and stay more organized. This is something that I have already started doing. I have my two calendars synced, and I am ready to go. I honestly think this is going to make all the difference for me in this coming year. 

Listen to more podcasts. I really need 2024 to be the year I am a podcast girlie. I’ve listened to podcasts sporadically over the past few years, but I really want to listen consistently. I even have a list of ones I already enjoy and a few I wanna start listening to. Some of my favorites are Gals on the Go and The Toast. Two I want to listen to more are Fun of the Weekdays and House Guest.
