My Night Time Routine

Hey guys! Happy Tuesday. I hope you’re having a good week so far. I can’t believe that this week is the last week of January. This month has flown by.

So, today on the blog, I’m sharing my night time routine. I was planning on sharing both my morning and night time routines, but I must admit my current morning routine is so bad. Since I’ve been working from home, it consist of me getting out of bed with a very short amount of time to spare lol. So, hopefully, I’ll improve my morning routine soon and then share it with y’all. I definitely have a much more structured night time routine.

1. Turn my TV on & chill out

So, the first thing I do is either turn my tv to the news (I find myself watching the news more and more these days and I can’t tell if it’s a sign that I’m getting older or what) or a movie (usually an old one lol). If it’s early, then I chill and watch tv/ scroll IG and TikTok.

2. Get myself water

Okay, I’m a huge water drinker lol. I love it. So, I always have to go to bed with a cup of water on my bedside table. And it 100% needs to be iced water lol.

3. Skincare / brush teeth

I’ve just recently changed my skin care routine up. (If you want to see an updated routine on the blog let me know!) Before I go to bed I apply toner and serum (both from Good Molecules), hyaluronic acid (from The Ordinary), moisturizer (from belif), and I always put something on my lips. It might be Carmex or it might be my Laneige Lip Mask. I’m 100% trying to make skincare a priority this year. I just feel like it’s so important. Then I brush my teeth with my Sonicare toothbrush. Having an electric toothbrush is a GAME CHANGER.

Then I’m ready to sleep lol. 🙂

It’s not a crazy routine, but it works for me!

OUAI Hairmask Review

Hey guys! I am so excited to share today’s post with you all today. So, last month I received OUAI’s new hair mask to test out. I got it from Influenster (a service that sends products out for free to bloggers/influencers to test) for free. And I thought I would write a post for you guys. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Over the past few years, I have tried a couple of products from OUAI and I’ve always been pretty impressed with them. I’ve tried their leave-in conditioner and their wave spray. So, when I found out that I would be getting this hair mask, I was really excited to try it out!

I’ve been using this mask once a week and I can really tell that it hydrates my hair. I think the recommendation is to use it one/two times, more if your hair is dehydrated. My hair isn’t, so it’s been once a week for me. I can seriously tell a difference in my hair.

It feels softer and silkier after each use! Which is ALWAYS a plus! (It also smells so dang good!)

Something else that I like about this product is that it helps combat damage/split ends. Which I have a lot of. So, the fact that it helps repair the damage is a plus. I’ve noticed that it definitely does repair your ends. Mine look a lot better after using this mask than they typically do!

This product is on the pricey side (at least I think it is lol). It’s $38 for a tub. However, this tub will last for a while if you only use it one/two times a week. I’ve been using it for about 5 weeks now and I’ve barely made a dent.

Top Purchases of 2020

Hey guys, and Happy New Year! I cannot believe that it is finally 2021. 2020 was such a crazy and unprecedented year, but we made it! I hope that you all had a safe and restful holiday season. NGL, I took like two weeks off from blogging, but I wrote over 100 posts in 2020. I was blown away.

I have high hopes for 2021 as well. I love blogging, creating content, and sharing it with you guys. So, I wanted to start off the new year with a brand new post for you guys. I also wanted to say thank you for taking time out of your day to read Emily’s Style Edit. It means the world to me!

Anyway, today’s post is a roundup of some of my favorite purchases of 2020. I loved all of these products and think that they were so worth purchasing. (10/10 would recommend!!)

My personal favorites were the Airpods. I don’t know how I survived without them!! The ones I linked are on sale, by the way! Only $129!! Such a great deal!

My Christmas List

Happy Saturday guys! I can’t believe there are a little under 2 weeks until Christmas. I thought it would be fun to round up a few of the things I want for Christmas and share it with y’all. I hope that you guys enjoy it!

I picked out several makeup products this year. The Marc Jacobs mascara is one of my all-time favorites. I also have loved using The Ordinary’s skincare products. They have helped my skin so much and come at such an incredible price-point. I’ve been wanting a new eyeshadow palette, and I actually had this specific palette a few years back (It’s a long story as to why I don’t have it anymore lol). I want to add it back to my collection. This Valentino perfume smells incredible and is such a nice item to splurge on. These silk pillowcases seem so dreamy!! I want a couple, especially since they’re good for your skin and hair. And lastly, I want this She Reads Truth Bible. One of my goals for the new year is to dive deeper into my faith and into the word of God. I’ve used some devotionals from She Reads Truth and I’ve used their app a ton, so I’m really excited to get this Bible and use it.
