Hey guys, I am so excited for the new series I’ll be doing this month. I’m going to be talking about the people who have inspired my style over the years. I’ll be posting this series every Tuesday during the month of October. I’ll be sharing a specific person each week who has inspired my taste in fashion. I have a few wonderful stylish ladies who I look up to and aspire to dress like and I’m excited to share them with you.
My first style icon is the one and only Olivia Palermo. Her street style is literally everything. I cannot tell y’all how many times I’ve searched her street style on Pinterest and just scrolled through and looked at her past outfits.
I have picked 3 of my favorite fall/winter street style looks that Olivia has worn. I really love how everything is simplistic but Olivia is not afraid to make a bold statement. It’s classy yet she takes risks. She isn’t afraid to do something different and she totally owns it.
One of my favorite things about the first look are the emerald green jeans paired with the red heels. I think the entire outfit looks really well put together. I also love the embellishment and designs on the button down. She takes a very standard piece like a plain button down and changes it up a bit.
The second look is super elegant. I have been obsessed with capes for a while now. Kate from Lonestar Southern had a look on the blog a few weeks ago where she styled a cape and I was absolutely obsessed with it. Olivia keeps this look elegant and simple. It is really cute but there isn’t anything super flashy about it, it simply doesn’t need that. I also love the flats. They really tie the outfit together.
The last look is a definite favorite of mine. I love the coat. It is super functional and the color is great. Another thing about this look that I love is the mix of patterns and colors. It isn’t too much and it doesn’t look tacky. The patterns go well together and the colors tie the entire outfit together. I love love love Olivia’s heels. I am a firm believer in jeans and heels and she is rocking it. The holes in the jeans make the look super casual. You could dress the tops up with another pair of nice jeans.
