Tips for Studying for Finals

This semester has FLOWN by. Thanksgiving break starts on Wednesday. After the break, we only have  4 days of class left before exams. It’s crunch time.

I thought it would be super helpful to give you guys a few tips for studying for final exams.
I’m really not an expert, but I have been through a couple semesters of exams. So let’s talk about some studying tips! Hopefully, they’ll help you out!

1. My first tip is, do not procrastinate. Especially if you’re taking a cumulative exam. Now I’m really lucky that this semester, none of my exams are going to be cumulative. However, some of my professors have started to lecture on things that are going to be on the final. It just helps when you begin to study a few weeks before exams. It takes a lot of stress off of you!

2. Another thing that really helps me, is recopying my notes, or at least writing them colorfully and neatly. This makes it easier for me to study. I have gotten a little bad about this recently, it’s pretty much because I’m getting tired of copying my notes over again and I’m just ready for the semester to be OVER. But I just have to keep in mind, that the semester isn’t over yet and I need to finish it out the best I can.

3. I also make flashcards. You can use an online site like Quizlet to make flashcards, however, I like to have my notecards in my hand. I typically just use my notes(and the readings if they’re going to be on the final). One thing I love about flashcards is that you can see the questions that you don’t know and you can repeatedly go over them.

Personally, these habits/tips/tricks or whatever you want to call them, have helped me for three semesters now.
I really hope that they help y’all do well on your finals.
If you have any tips that help you, please send them in!

Thanks for reading!
xoxo
