Hey, y’all happy Monday! I hope you are having a great day so far. Today’s post is a little different, but it’s something that I’m really excited to share. So if you know me, you know I love to read. I thought it would be fun to share some of the books I wanna read this year (I have so many more books on my tbr list lol).  Throughout this post, there will be links to the books I’m talking about. Feel free to shop those links!
What I’m Currently Reading
Okay, so I’m going to start with the book I am currently reading. I’m reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. I really enjoy reading classic novels and with the hype of the new Little Women movie, I couldn’t help but want to read the book. I’m only a few chapters in but it’s good so far!

Top 5 Books I Want to Read This Year

1. American Royals by Katharine McGee
This book seems so intriguing to me. I’m waiting on it at the library and I cannot wait to see the take on America having a royal family/monarchy. I will definitely let you guys know if I like it or not.
2. The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory
Okay, so I recently finished The Proposal by Jasmine and I really liked it! After I started reading it, I realized that it was part of a series(luckily you don’t have to read them in order). But now I wanna go back and read the first book in the series. The Proposal was such a fun read and I’m looking forward to not only reading The Wedding Date but reading Jasmine Guillory’s other books too!

3. The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck
I came across this book last year. I had just finished a book and I was looking for a new one. I actually started this one, and I liked it! I just didn’t get the chance to read it all. I’m going to go back and finish it! I am a sucker for a good historical fiction novel and from what I’ve already read of this one, I think I’ll really like it!

4. The Huntress by Kate Quinn
I obviously love historical fiction because the last three picks of this list are all historical fiction!
I read Kate Quinn’s book The Alice Network last year and I really enjoyed it. This book, The Huntress has strong female characters just like The Alice Network and takes place after WW2. That’s actually one of my favorite time periods to learn about, and all three historical fiction books on this list take place during that time.  I cannot wait to get my hands on this book and read it.

5. The Room of Rue Amelie by Kristin Harmel
This book seems like it would really interest me. It takes place in France during WW2 and is all about love and the strength of human beings. I’ll be requesting it from the library soon and I’ll let you guys know what I think!

I hope that you like this post. If you’re a reader like me maybe you’ll check these books out!
Hopefully, I’ll finish these and get to share another post like this with y’all in a few months!

Thank you for reading! See ya soon!
xoxo Emily
