Hey guys! Happy Tuesday! Today, I’m sharing a blog post all about my favorite books that I read In 2021. This was a fun post to put together! Overall, I read 19 books last year, and I enjoyed a lot of them! But these 6 were my absolute favorites.

The Dating Plan

This book was absolutely adorable. I read it last year in February. It was a lighthearted story about a second chance romance. It ticked all of the boxes for me. It was an easy read and was super charming. I also loved the diversity! I haven’t read any of Sara Desai’s other books, but they’re all on my TBR! Malibu Rising

Oh, I loved this book so much. I’m a fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid, and this book which came out during the summer did NOT disappoint. This book takes place in the 80s and follows the lives of 4 siblings. Their dad was famous (Mick Riva, if you read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo). Every time I read any of her books, I become consumed by what she has created. This one was no exception. This one was tied for my favorite book of 2021. I also reviewed this book earlier this year, you can read it here!

People We Meet on Vacation

This romcom was a super fun read. It was the first Emily Henry book I read, and I really enjoyed it. It was a cute take on friends to lovers, and I was very invested in Poppy and Alex’s friendship/romantic relationships. This book was cool because it had time jumps. It was also really cool because they traveled a lot. It gave me the travel bug!! I reviewed this one as well. You can check it out by clicking here!

Daisy Jones & The Six

I really enjoyed this other Taylor Jenkins Reid book. If you like music/70s rock and roll, this book will probably appeal to you! The entire thing is set up like an interview, and as someone who loves music/pop culture, I really liked it. This book is being adapted into a movie, and I can’t wait to see what they do with it!

Get a Life, Chloe Brown

I actually picked this book up to read in 2020 and didn’t read much before I just stopped. I really wanted to try it again, so I picked it up again over the summer. It was so good! Talia Hibbert is such a good writer. I really enjoyed the characters and the romance in this one. There are actually two other books in this series. I reviewed this book back in August. Beach Read

This is the book that tied Malibu Rising for my favorite book of 2021! I read this one after I read People We Meet on Vacation, and this one is my favorite Emily Henry book. Gus and January had so much chemistry, and I was so invested in their relationship. I was rooting for them the entire time. Gus Everette may have been such a grump, but he’s such a great fictional male lead. I want to reread this book; that’s how much I loved it!

I hope that you guys enjoyed today’s post! Have you read any of these books? If so, which ones? Thanks for reading!
